Not only have I found some great recipes and cool ideas for the house, I'm learning lots of little organization tips. Here is one that cost me $2.47 and about 5 minutes to implement.
When designing our kitchen, I opted out of an appliance garage to maximize countertop space. Because of this, I store our small appliances in a base cabinet. This base cabinet, to be exact.
See all those cords...ugh!
Not only does it look awful, but they get stuck under each other or hang out the door and it drives me batty trying to keep them where I want them.
After seeing this little tip on Pinterest, I had Hubz pick me up a pack of Velcro squares at Lowe's. They were $2.47 for a set of 12 squares.
And, after about 5 minutes of work, those cords were under control...
Hallelujah! One additional tidbit - when wrapping the cord on your crockpot, make sure you're placing the velcro on a spot that does not heat up (don't ask how I know!).
Agree - love pinterest too. Such good ideas.
